Take a deep breath fandom because it looks like we’re getting DEEP feels:
- Stilinski feels
- Sterek feels
- Argent Dilemma feels
Location? Derek’s Loft.
These screenshots from the promo are all from the same scene based on their clothing and the characters involved, except for the last screenshot. Notice the sheriff is wearing the police uniform, Chris the black jacket and Stiles the jumper and the shirt.
Obviously this happens, once Chris and Derek are released from prison based on their clothing. But guys, the amount of angst in this scene is breaking my heart and I really need to talk about it. Okay? Okay.
First we’re getting the Sheriff and Argent standing shocked / taken back by Stiles casually raising a werewolf and throwing him mid air and onto a wall. But it makes me wonder why it was Derek the one closer to Stiles than the sheriff or chris. Was Derek trying to see if they were dealing with Stiles? Was he trying to talk to Stiles and see how much is left of him? Was he trying to get the real stiles fighting back or talking to him? You know how wolves become human once they hear something close to them/ something that keeps them human - their anchor. Was Derek trying to tap into that humanity and see if Stiles can fight whatever is possessing him? Poor baby, goes flying against a wall.
Anyways, I’m assuming Derek goes unconscious for a little while (just like Erica who went unconscious during the pool scene after a really hard hit) because during the next interaction we see Derek isn’t in visible camera view (poor-baby derek).
We then see Chris aiming the gun at Stiles, I’m guessing this happens immediately after the Derek’s incident. I’m also guessing that Chris realises they are not dealing with Stiles, that Stiles is long gone. What does a hunter’s instinctive tell him to do? Grab the gun and point it towards the supernatural being that they’re dealing with, except it’s stiles. You can see the doubt, the agony and the struggle that Chris expresses while aiming the gun at Stiles. I really see this as character development, because in season one and two, Chris would have shot Scott any moment any time if he went near his daughter or even loathed what he was. Chris also stated that years ago he faced something similar and he felt no remorse killing the guy. But now, he doesn’t want to. It shows how Chris has now began to view the supernatural as: they’re not all monsters, they don’t all deserve to be killed. It also shows how Chris knows this isn’t Stiles. He knows thatStiles is paying the price of something he isn’t doing and it may end with his death and Chris hates the idea that an innocent 17 year old boy life is just about to end when he could have had a good future.
Then while Chris is aiming the gun at Stiles, the Sheriff is torn yelling at Chris that he should not pull the trigger while Stiles/nogitsune is yelling to shoot. You can see the fear in the Sheriff’s eyes that Chris may do it, that Chris may actually pull the trigger, and kill his one and only family left -that he’s going to loose his only son, his only child, his only family.
Then some of us were assuming that Derek took a bullet for Stiles in the same scene (last screenshot), but that isn’t the case, because you realise that Derek’s shirt has changed. The arrows are just pointing out that the scene is in Derek’s loft, but it’s not the same scene.
Tyler Hoechlin did say, "they will take a bullet for each other" - what if someone does end up aiming at Stiles to shoot him, only for Derek to push Stiles out of the way, to get shot himself.
One hero will fall.
Derek was described as the hero this season, and after the word fall in the promo, we see Derek fall.
please note: it doesn’t mean Derek will die necessarily, it just means we’re getting a lot of sterek feels, stilinski feels and chris argent feels.
